As
a visitor, the best way to start your day is trying out the local food. In Kuching,
the most famous one would be the Kolok Mee. It is local made noodle topped with
barbecue pork (non-halal). But, there are also stalls serving "Halal"
Kolok Mee with prawns, fish balls or fish cake. Another must try dish is the "Sarawak
Laksa". Other
than the local delicacies, Kuching do offer a wide variety of Western, Indian,
and Muslim to Chinese food. For western and fusion, there are a few places such
as The Junk, Ipanema, Bla Bla Bla, Havana, The Living Room, Tom's or Casa Davide.
But of course, if the available food in Kuching is not of your taste buds. There
is always McDonald, KFC, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Hart Chicken, Secret Recipe and
Pizza Hut around. |
